About Michigan Youth Basketball

Michigan Youth Basketball was founded in 2019 by Matthew and Destiny Christensen with one goal in mind: to create a positive environment where young athletes can truly learn and enjoy the game of basketball.

As high school basketball coaches, they recognized a need for stronger youth development programs focused on fundamentals, skill growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Too often, youth basketball became centered only on winning rather than teaching the game the right way. Michigan Youth Basketball was created to change that.

Our program is dedicated to helping players of all skill levels develop confidence, improve fundamentals, and build a lifelong love for basketball in a fun, encouraging, and competitive environment.

Our Mission

At Michigan Youth Basketball, we believe basketball is about more than just the score. Through training, teamwork, and competition, we strive to help young athletes grow both on and off the court.
