2026 Fall League Registration Now Open for Michigan Youth Basketball
Michigan Youth Basketball has announced a new partnership with TeamSnap ONE, introducing an upgraded digital experience designed to simplify and enhance youth sports for families, players, and coaches. The partnership brings a variety of new features focused on improving communication and organization across the league. Families will benefit from next-generation team chat and a unified schedule view, allowing them to stay up to date with all team activities. Schedules are automatically synced to users’ preferred calendars, helping reduce confusion and missed events. A key addition to the platform is live streaming, which will be available as part of the TeamSnap+ upgrade. This feature enables families and fans to watch games from anywhere, ensuring that those unable to attend in person can still be part of the action. In addition, Michigan Youth Basketball participants will gain access to age-specific, at-home training resources at no extra cost. Developed in partnership with professional leagues, these drills are designed to help athletes continue their development outside of team practices. By combining communication, scheduling, optional live streaming, and built-in training content into one platform, TeamSnap ONE aims to eliminate many of the common challenges associated with managing youth sports. League officials believe the new system will create a more streamlined, connected, and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. “This partnership is about making our league easier and more accessible for our families, "Owner Matt Christensen said. “With everything in one place, we’re allowing families to spend less time coordinating logistics and more time enjoying the season.” The rollout of TeamSnap ONE marks a significant step forward for Michigan Youth Basketball as it continues to invest in tools that support its growing community.

We have so many new friends and faces here and we wanted to take a minute to re-introduce ourselves!
We are Matt and Destiny, the owners of Michigan Youth Basketball.
Our journey began in 2019 when we, Matt and Destiny, set out to reshape skill development in youth basketball, infusing our love for the game with the Jr. NBA Philosophy. With over 13 years of coaching experience between the two of us, we knew this was going to be a life changing program for us and so many others as well.
From a humble feeder program, we've evolved Michigan Youth Basketball into the nation's largest Jr. NBA league with leagues running all the way from Detroit to Grand Rapids. As we continue to grow, so do our goals as we're aiming for national expansion in the coming years.
And to end 2023 with a bang, we've recently secured a new home for Michigan Youth Basketball in downtown Ortonville. This new office space represents our commitment to growth and providing an even better experience for our players and families.
Off the courts, we are busy parents and community builders! We are adoptive parents of two amazing twin girls & we are large advocates for adoption with a deep passion for foster children. We love our partnership with Whaley Childrens Center, where we offer opportunities for foster children to participate in our program for free as well as offer financial aid for underprivileged families, making sure every child has a chance to play.
During our family time, we enjoy our weekly family date nights, movie nights, spending time in the great outdoors, and love being involved at our church.
2024 is going to be another incredible year for Michigan Youth Basketball and we are so excited you are here and along for the ride with us!

Matt and I are so excited to announce we have purchased an office in downtown Ortonville. We are so thankful and blessed to have run our business out of our house since we started in 2019 and we are now at the point of transitioning to an office. We cannot thank the communities who have supported us enough. Every single basketball registration makes the world of difference for our small business. None of this would have been possible without everyone’s support! Thank you all so much!!
We have been looking for an office for the past year. One thing we really wanted was to purchase a church. We found out very quickly the slanted floors don’t work well with basketballs lol we are so thankful God had a way of working everything out and that this office was actually previously a church. We also first started our business in Ortonville. So once this building in downtown Ortonville that was previously a church was being sold, we instantly knew this is where we wanted to be.
We are so thankful to have such an awesome relator team @mihousetohome to make this all possible. Thomas Schaefer Jr. was very patient in our journey to finding the perfect office. Thank you for everything!!
On a side note, we also have 4 spaces in here available for lease. 2 of the spaces are street frontage spaces. If you or someone you know are looking for a space to rent, please let us know!
